Our utmost desire is to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ. That's how we're able to make a difference, and it's the driving force behind everything we do.

Our History

Gate of Light Church (GLC) started as a prayer group on the Obafemi Awolowo University campus in the year 2007. It started with like-minded young people on campus with a passion to know, and serve God’s purpose, and to intercede for one another to enjoy divine intervention in various aspects of life. The group began meeting at the University Sports pavilion and later on at prayer mountains whenever the school was on vacation.

Peter Oyeniran through the help of the Holy Spirit piloted the group until the mandate was received in March 2013 to start a church. The evangelistic work started immediately with revivals and outreaches. GLC was legally registered in Nigeria with the Cooperate Affairs Commission on 10th May 2013. This was followed by a non-denominational biannual meeting tagged “Covenant Partners meeting” at Christ Apostolic Church Baba Abiye prayer mountain Ede Osun state Nigeria West Africa.

Peter Oyeniran envisioned a global spread of the gospel through Gate of Light Church in 2013. While exploring all God-provided platforms to fulfill the divine mandate, the door to the United State of America was opened where he started a non-denominational prayer program tagged “Possibility Service” across the USA. True to God’s timing, the given vision of 2013 has now become a reality in the year 2023 as GLC starts and establishes a church planting work at the Grand Mission area, the western region of Houston Texas to fulfill the given mandate

The cardinal focuses of Gate of Light Church are to love, light, link, lead and lift a generation of believers with a desire to know and serve God’s purpose through the preaching of the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I am therefore convinced to make a clarion call for participation through; prayers, support, and partnership to this heavenly vision.
